What makes a beach towel great? The brothers Talese of the new Brooklyn-based towel company Breezeway think there are three necessary ingredients:

1. 100% cotton that's woven, not printed (in the U.S.A.). Or as they put it, "our towels are thick, woven, rectangles of awesome."

2. Size matters. Breezeway towels are great for sharing (34" x 70"), which is quite larger than the average towel.

3. Small Batches. Once a particular design sells out, it will never be woven again. There are only 15-20 towels per design batch. Their first batch, below, is called Carolina, and I've got my eye on Carolina I...big time.
