SCENE | Cowgirl Roundup

There's so little information that I could find about this series of photos (circa the 1950s I think) other than the photographer is N.R. Farbman and they were taken for LIFE. I don't think the story ever ran, but I'm dying to find out where these girls were. Looks like a helluva trip, that's for sure.

So amazing! That landscape to be Northern California.

@Anon

I think it may be Fresno or somewhere in N. California as well.

Is there somewhere I could buy these prints? I couldn't find them in the LIFE photo archives online.

The photographer is actually N. R. Farbman according to this blog:

...her post is also titled "Cowgirl Roundup".

@Ashley

Thanks! Made the change on the photographer credit. The series is called "Cowgirl Roundup" from LIFE, but there isn't much info beyond that.

@Lauren

I'm not so sure you can. I looked through the Google Reader archive to find them in the archives and I didn't see them anywhere, so I'm not sure they were printed and not all images are available for purchase. I wish I could buy them too!
