The word "legend" is so overused...not in this case however. Just Kids is one of my favourite books and her music is just amazing.

I adore Patti Smith; she is one of my idols in both music, art and general aesthetic. Completely iconic and incredibly interesting.
I'm with everyone's opinions on comment thread, she truly is a legend.
