SCREEN | The Last Days of Disco

I love this movie. The one criticism is that the fashion at times reads a little more late 90s's (when it was filmed) than the intended "very early 80s", but still a gem for the clothes and that inimitable Whit Stillman dialogue.

I love this movie, too! Chloe's character's daytime preppy look was so inspiring to me. I also do believe that the early 80s and 90s have a lot in common.

Thanks for reminding me of this movie! It is a film that I've never actually seen, but have been meaning to for ages. Good, good style.

I'll have to check out the movie-I'll always love my Ducks and Company Lime green Sweater with my pink button down :)

"There's something really sexy about Scrooge McDuck." Yes. Best movie line ever.
Absolutely one of my favorite movies. So clever and witty. And yes, the clothes. Awesome post!

Great film and Chloƫ's style is amazing (in this film and in real life), I had a great time watching it, and the ending scene is really cheerful.

The characters were all prep school kids so I actually think the wardrobes work in this film. This film is one of my faves!

The 90s element that I saw was mostly with Kate Beckinsale's character who wore a few cropped baby-t's and sort of had a Rachel Greene hair cut.
