GEAR | 1954 Jaguar XK140

Photo of woman with her Jaguar XK140 by Bettmann, 1954.

I don't think it really matters what hangs in your closet if you've got this in your garage, that's all the outfit you need.

P.S. I watched this movie several times in high school. I'd like to think the replica 1956 XK140 had everything to do with that, but that would be a lie. #90sforever!

Ha! That ending is so great!

Did you ever pick out a car for yourself? What did you end up purchasing?

No! Not yet! I am really dragging my feet.

Cruel Intentions! I used to love that movie...it seemed so bad and forbidden and sexy and scandalous at the time, but it's totally not when you go back and watch it as an adult. Still, it's so freaking good. "Everybody does it, it's just that nobody talks about it."

My dad has a Jaguar XK140. It's the most beautiful thing. He's a minister so he calls his clergy black with cardinal red interior ;)

The Jaguar Jaguar XK140 is gorgeous. I never realized that Sebastian drove a Jaguar but I do remember admiring the car (I also saw Cruel Intentions many times). It's very befitting for a dashing young man with "old money".
