UNIFORM | Pajama Shirts

I've been noticing that silk pajama tops are not staying in the bedroom anymore. What's the consensus on this trend? OK to wear a little breakfast for dinner?

Rag & Bone PJ blouse ($325); Alexa Chung for Madewell Valentine Pajama Top ($200).

I think it's pretty fun, as long as it's over nice skinny jeans or something a little structured or tailored. The ladies wearing them over flowy pants (aka pajama bottoms) are sort of freaking me out, but otherwise I say why not? Sort of reminds me of my grunge years the first time around, don't remember if we actually did this in highschool, but it does seem so familiar...

Been stealing and wearing my dad's pyjamas out and about for years - however, never wear the top and the matching bottoms at the same time.
Oooh! Love it. I just bought a couple of tops from the Alexa Chung for Madewell line-- they're fantastic. Tailored yet feminine.

i like the version on the right... it's very 60s rolling stones bohemian. the one on the left just looks like you forgot to take off your PJ top!

Agreed on the issue of top *or* bottom but never both outside the home. I love the loungey vibe they transmit.

Agree that spending $$$$ isn't worth it. Just picked up a cute one at goodwill for $2! Score!
I agree with anon, definitely checking out the thrift store...though it kind of freaks me out to think about secondhand sleepwear haha

p.s. love the style aesthetic of this blog!
