GEAR | Credit Card Wallet

Credit card wallets are great for situations when you need to be free from the hassle and restrictions of a handbag, like, say if you want to bike to dinner. For some reason though, I find these wallets are marketed much more to men than women. Maybe that's why I see a lot of girls putting their cards in their phone cases. Even though I use a small daily wallet, I'd love one of these as an alternate. What kind of wallet do you use? Would you ever carry a credit card wallet?

Some green for your green...
William Wallet (back in stock next month); Maxx & Unicorn Card Holder in lime ($50) and in camo ($50); Goyard Credit Card Holder (approx $315); COMME des GARÇONS Super Fluo Card Wallet ($91).

I JUST switched from my giant checkbook-sized wallet to a credit card wallet. It really is freeing!

How about a classic cigarette case?

I use a "boy's" wallet I bought when I was 13.

for my money its a mywalit version, they have several to chose from. I'm going to buy myself a wallet, a credit card holder and an old school frame purse over the next few months so I'll be set no matter what the occasion. check out their colours, they're great.

I often switch to a card case when I'm using a small bag or when I don't want to carry one at all. I already use one on a daily basis for the cards I use often - travel card, a debit/ATM card - so it's quite a simple matter of just slipping the bills in and leaving the wallet at home.

My biggest bug bear is coins - I never know what to do with them and then it's impossible to find them when I need them and then I end up accumulating a bunch.

these are beyond cute, especially the first one. i have my regular big wallet for most days and then a mini furla bear that just fits cards and cash (oh and a hairband!)that i use for those non-purse situations. i'll post on that soon:)

After hunting for something small for a long time and being fed up of the daily rummage for the right card, I finally found a combination of a Sonia Rykiel credit card purse WITH a zipper section that holds the four most important cards plus notes and coins without sucking up all the space in my bag. I then use a stripey SR make-up mini-purse for the rest of the loyalty card rubbish. Simples!

I bought the lovely long version of the Comme de Garcon fluro wallet and as much as I love it, it is waaaay too big to carry in some of my purses and a hassle to bring by its self -- always worried about leaving it somewhere. I think carrying around a credit card wallet would be GREAT.

I think a little crazy hoarder lady is living in my wallet. "I need that donut receipt! I need to prove that I bought that donut that time!"

I like that first wallet, and also the idea about the cigarette case though.

I have always had a credit card type wallet - my current one was a gift from my grandmother for my 21st birthday. Its by NZ designer Sharon Paris for her label Paris House. Classic styling with a touch of humour for the Tomboy-about-town...

I use a medium "ladies" wallet, but have a card holder for when I travel. It's petite size eases my worry of losing a large wallet.

I just bought my boyfriend the first wallet...it's only ~$35!!!
But I plan on using it from time to time as well.

i use a small wallet too... somehow it keeps expanding and is defeating the purpose.

Both my husband and I carry the OMA money clip from Casa del Rio, www.casadelriocollection.com. It holds your credit cards and has a flap for bills. Mine is black and his is brown so we avoid getting them mixed up.

I swear to Credit card boxes rather then wallets now a days, but the old fashioned wallet is on the way out indeed!

I absolutely love my wallet!! I bought one and after many years it became so tattered I had to get a new one. Plenty of pockets, baseball glove leather, not too big, and have received many compliments. http://www.jpeterman.com/Baseball-Glove-Wallet

I agree with you, the advantage of having a bank card wallet is that you can carry and find your bank card easier. Some people have to ransack their bag or purse first just to find their bank card. And with stylish bank card wallet like this, you can definitely combine fashion with function!
