I wish she would just stay natural looking like when she was younger.

I think including Cher in the tomboy category is a big stretch. She has always been glamorous, vain, and a self-preservationist(in the I-don't-get-my-hands-dirty sort of way in addition to the more obvious interpretation of the term) If taking risks in her career and persona makes her a tomboy, than Dolly Parton is also one.

It could be, sometimes I'm focusing on single snapshots and sometimes it's a woman's entire life. I think Cher had some pretty amazing tomboy STYLE in the 60s and 70s and she tends to have the reputation for being independent and fearless. Maybe she fills the wardrobe quotient higher than the spirit quotient, but never the less I love these photos. It's such a complex subject there are bound to be women that fit the definition squarely and those that are outliers.

dolly parton is totally a tomboy... not sure if anon is saying she isn't? i dunno... i'm confused. i think you can be glamorous and still be a tomboy. cher does NOT take herself seriously and is totally fearless, which is definitely tomboy attitude and style.

For that era, yes, this was total tomboy. Tough, who cares?, and naturally beautiful. Cher seems to float through life, very chill.
