In my experience, a narrow-shouldered blazer is the absolute pits (pun intended, cause that's where it bunches up!) for bike ridin'!

495 for commuting flats!? Why? What makes them worth so much?

Kelsey-

I added in a cheaper option (J. Crew, $128), I think one could find even more economical options. My guess is the Lanvin price is determined by supply, materials, manufacturing as well as brand marketing.

Elizabeth-

I've had that problem before too on my bike, my friend however, bikes all the time in a blazer. I think it depends on how tailored your blazer is.

I've done a lot of ballet flats and, trust me, the Lanvin's are on another level. Of course other versions do the trick too (the J. Crew looks quite similar and sturdy), but there are many really good reasons why these beautifully constructed flats come at a price. You have to touch, study, feel, smell and wear them to truly appreciate the artistic beauty and construction of this shoe. They will also last a lifetime. And I don't work for Lanvin : )

I hope she rolls her jeans up as I can't see a chain guard on that bike and without rolling up the jeans they must get oil on them (or are they skinny enough to survive?) For me a chain guard is a must on my bike.
