I served Robyn Davidson once many years ago in Sydney. I was surprised to find that this famous adventurer was curly-haired, pretty and petite.

In her book/diary about her camel trip, she explains that the sarong was the coolest thing she could find to wear in the desert heat. No concerns about skin cancer in those days!

I remember reading this National Geographic story on
Robyn years ago and loving it. What an adventuress! Thanks for sharing this- her story really captivated me as a kid.
