SCENE | Roadside in Scotland, 1958.

In the same way that I can get lost in a dusty box of old photos at a flea market, the internet provides endless opportunity to get lost in someone else's memories. Once a month or so I loose myself in old photos on flickr or in archives until my eyes can't take it any longer. Usually nothing really turns up, but when I found this one I paused. That determined gaze enveloped me. I started to imagine who this woman was, what she was like, where she was going, and if she's still around today. One thing's certain: That lass had style.
