SCREEN | MAKERS: Women Who Make America.

Did anyone watch the 3-hour PBS Documentary MAKERS: Women Who Make America on Tuesday? I am just in the middle of it now and it's outstanding. Watch it online if you missed it—great history, great interviews, and some incredible one-liners.

Yes! It's a really great piece of work. I featured it on my blog a week ago and interviewed producer, Nancy Armstrong. Take a peak! http://sentimentalistlindley.blogspot.com/2013/02/why-women-matter.html

How on earth did I miss that?!? And I'm the one always encouraging my girls to embrace feminism! Thx for the reminder, Lizzie!

Thank you! I now finally feel able to say "I am a feminist!" For so long, I felt guilty for not being able to do it all as my generation has always ben told it can. Instead, I need to pick up the flag and continue the fight. :)

@Hanna I totally agree, there was a comment in the documentary by Marissa Mayer the CEO of Yahoo, and she said she didn't consider herself a feminist becuase she's not militant and doesn't have a chip on her shoulder. I felt that way too but now see that line of thinking as complete B.S. I'm a feminist.

Gloria Steinem just came to my college to speak two days ago, such an incredibly amazing and inspiring woman.

I thought this was so good, but toward the end it got a little depressing. We have to keep fighting for the cause!
