UNIFORM | Jane Birkin

Jane Birkin, her dog, and and the eponymous Hermes Birkin Bag outside of the Hotel Esmerelda in Paris via Scorpian Disco.

Merino V-neck sweater ($60); Mertsham Trouser ($134); custom leather Chuck Taylors ($75); Birkin's Birkin.

I love this outfit, but don't think I could ever pull off something so monochromatic, what about you?

Well, it's really the dog that ties it all together. Do you have an English bulldog? I think a French bulldog could work, too.

i think monochromatic works when it is such a neutral colour. i wear black on black all the time. and this summer did a lot of white on white. might try grey on grey this fall! thanks for the fantastic blog and, seriously, you are my number one go to for fashion inspiration. you totally get it! :) x

I look like this all fall and winter during work hours - but I do add a scarf for some interest. That way I really don't have to think in the mornings (navy pants, navy sweater) but feel together... My huge scarf collection just helps me to not get bored with the formula. Because as much as I admire minimalism I need a little glamour.

Jane Birkin looks so cool butI don't htink I could pull it off. I would feel a bit dull all in grey, nice to wear a different selection of off colours myself, but then I do try to avoid all black clothing (and all grey, depends on the shade too).

I'm sold on the pants and shoes. So cool. I'm in the Caribbean so I'd adapt the rest to suit.

I LOVE everything about that outfit - the sweater, the pants, those sneakers are fantastic. And monochrome in that shade of gray is the best!

I would absolutely wear this! I already wear variations of it but somehow just cant match her combination of happy and cool. She seems delightful in a world where cool is so often related to remote. Love your blog and am also excited for the book!
