We don't usually single out one single item when it comes to apothecary goods or beauty items because we're all so different and products effect people differently, and I never thought I'd have such a positive feeling toward a body lotion, but after discovering Boulder, CO.-based Mountain Ocean Coconut Moisturizer ($15) at Individual Medley, I decided this is my lotion for the rest of my days. Done. I'm half way through my first bottle and about to order another one because I don't want to be without my beloved Skin Trip ever (this may be an unhealthy attachment, but I don't care). It's light and not greasy, smells great but isn't perfume-y, and is ideal after sun, ski, surf, shower, shave, you name it. Check out more about the 41-year-old Colorado company here.

Really? I'm a little surprised to see this here. The ingredients are pretty terrible. It seams like cleaner, more natural products are usually featured here. Disappointed!
It's not light? Hmmm...I usually like a lighter moisturizer.
I've used this moisturizer for years and love it.
Sold!
@Meg
It IS light, sorry that was a typo! Very light.

I think you're talking about the preservatives they use, which I understand can be a concern to some. It's tough to be 100% natural with a beauty/health products here (unless you're mixing it yourself, which we've talked about before!).
The main ingredients are purified water, coconut oil, aloe juice, safflower oil, they also minimally use preservatives that they guarantee to be safe and do so minimally.
Again, totally fair to say it's not for you, but it's something I think is indeed in line with the products featured on the blog.
This is my go to summer lotion for 20+ years. I love it too. I've tried mixing my own, but I have to leave it in the fridge and it never comes close to Skin Trip. Glad you like it too.
My go to lotion as well for many years. I love the scent. I also use the bar soap in the shower. Smells divine.
Ah! Awesome, thanks for the clarification, Lizzie. :)
My Mom has been using Skin Trip since the 70s and I've started using it now too! I love it and the smell is amazing! So excited to see you post about it!! You da best!
I love skin trip, great feeling moisturizer. But yeah, it has synthetic fragrance, very harmful. I use an app called "think dirty". It gives you the run down of most beauty products and their harmful or not, ingredients.
I use this lotion and soap and LOVE it!!! Amazing stuff!
Tried it, didn't love it. At all. Not nearly Mousturizing for my dry bod, and so I gave it to my 16-yr old daughter who seconded that emotion!
