GEAR | Vintage Matchbox Land Rover

I just bought my first vintage car. Yep, the wild success of this blog enabled me to pull the trigger on a 1966 Land Rover IIA Safari LWB 12-seater. Price tag: $4. It's a vintage Matchbox toy and I thought it would look cool on my bookshelf. I used to obsess over my Micro Machine collection as a kid and I feel like this might be the start of a new one. Gulp.

P.S. There's more of these guys for sale, here's one on Etsy and one on eBay.

P.S. For some reason I think it's really cool that you had a Micromachine collection. I was into Fisher Price Adventure People. Wish I still had them all to tell you the truth.

Wow! This took me back...I totally had this exact matchbox car to play with as a kid. Along with a 1968 purple vw sedan, and my favorite 1970s glitter pink mustang, and a 1960s british airways bus.
