There's only one week left until the book launches, so I'm giving away signed advance copies to five people! There are some great book events planned around the country, and most of the happenings are being broadcasted on the Tomboy Style Facebook page and my Twitter account (to not overload the blog with too much book stuff).
To enter the giveaway, like Tomboy Style on FB or follow @LGMettler on Twitter and leave a comment below with your favorite Tomboy Style icon! Winners announced tomorrow at 8pm PST. Good luck!
***The WINNERS***
1. Alexis who said India Hicks, Ali MacGraw and Françoise Hardy.
2. Brie who said Emmy Lou Harris.
3. Blue Center Light Pop who said Alison Mosshart.
4. Para Project who said Beverly Johnson.
5. Simply Marilla who said Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Please email me lizziegarrett(at)gmail(dot)com, so I can get your book to you pronto!

I'm continually fascinated by Diane Keaton. What a woman!
Oh that Lauren Hutton is just the best!
love jane birkin and can't wait for the book!
How exciting! I follow on Twitter.
As strong as it may seem to some, I rather like Kristen Stewart's casual, tomboy style. I am sucker for super casual.
Book is pre-ordered! I am a huge fan of Tilda Swinton's style but i'm most likely to raid Emmanuelle Alt's closet.
Commenting a day late so as not to be included in this raffle -- because I will totally be queuing up for a signature & hug, darlin'!
As for tomboy icons, you've covered so many good ones, it's impossible to choose just one: Lauren Hutton, Bev Johnson, the Charlottes (Rampling & Gainsbourg), Anjelica Huston, etc.
Your site is a treasure trove of inspiration, Lizzie.
Katherine Hepburn, Bianca Jagger, & Sophia Coppola cover the last century for me. Cool to the core, effortless and completely unapologetic.
As a child of the 70's at age 54 I have so many...Gloria Steinem, Ali McGraw, Emmylou, Lauren Hutton.....I've bought the book regardless, girlfriend gifts, but would LOVE a signed copy! Enoy your blog.

I just skimmed through the comments so maybe I missed it, but didn't see TILDA SWINTON mentioned, how can that be?! She's my tomboy icon, and I also love Katharine Hepburn.
please.
I know, I'm too late for the book-give-away, but a true tomboy icon would definitely be Gabriella Reece!
